Kuumba Youth Orchestra is a Community Interest Company established in 2009 and dedicated to helping young people aged 5 to 18 years to achieve their potential through access to high quality classical music education.

 

We work with all young people and their families who have an interest, curiosity or passion in music and education. We especially welcome those families from African, Caribbean and Asian backgrounds who are currently under-represented in classical music education.

 

Through an imaginative programme of concerts, mentorship, specialist advice, social events and professional networks, Kuumba provides a stimulating and positively challenging context for our musicians and their communities.
